What is domain forwarding?
Domain forwarding, or URL forwarding, allows
you point or direct a domain name to an existing web site without incurring the costs
associated with web site hosting. Forwarding is particularly valuable if you have an
existing web site with a long or confusing web address.
For example, if you have a web site residing
on a free server, your web address might look something like this:
www.freewebsiteaccount.freewebserver.com/subdirectory/mysite.html
A name like that is difficult to remember.
But with URL forwarding, you can simply tell your visitors to go to your more-memorable
address that is automatically redirected to your existing web site. So, instead of asking
your visitors to remember the URL listed above, you can simply ask that they enter your
"catchy" name (for example, ForwardedDomain.com) into their browser.
Forwarding is only $6 per year. However, the domain name must be in your
RegisterYourWebSiteName.com's account.
If it is already in your RegisterYourWebSiteName.com's
account, simply login to Manage Your Account.
If you do not have a name yet, you can
quickly and easily register one with us.
If you have a name but it is with another
registrar, you can quickly and easily transfer it to
us.
